In January we had the pleasure of taking the MV Agusta Brutale 800 out for a ride compliments of Midlife Cycles Melbourne, pairing it with our Camo textile jacket to bolster its attitude. This is one gorgeous looking Italian show stopper that is sure to attract attention outside any coffee shop!

When it is about aesthetics and design, you can see much thought has gone into this naked machine, and it gets lots of admirers wherever you take it. Free from any plastic fairings you can admire all the finer details. The oval headlight, curvy tank; the exposed trellis frame all in synchronized harmony; the single-sided swingarm exposing the rear alloy wheel; the slashed exhaust pipes further enhances its iconic styling.

Well, how does it perform you ask? Delivering on its sporting promise the Brutale is beyond doubt, not a bike for riding slow – even though we did of course! The 798cc, liquid-cooled, inline triple cylinder engine is incredibly responsive with an effortless amount of grunt for overtaking and acceleration, the triple exhausts growling with animal intensity every time you turn the throttle. With eight-level traction control and ABS, experienced riders will have no problems managing its lively performance.

It handles great too! Steering is sharp aided by the wide handlebar which makes high-speed cornering and traffic manoeuvrability quite easy, further supported by the fully adjustable Marzocchi forks and adjustable Sachs monoshock.
